Feast of the Holy Innocence
Feast of the Holy Innocence or Innocents occurs on December 28th and is held to commemorate King Herod's slaughter of thousands of children trying to kill the infant Jesus. This was a day of importance for pregnant women, families of sick children and mothers who have lost a child through disease, or other ways.
